HD
I recently used a 2500 X 1700 still in a comp configured for NTSC. It was part of a banner of otherwise appropriately sized media. When I needed to manipute masks and then render portions of this spot that contain that still in the monitor window the render times were very long (over a minute per frame using S3.)….
I realize that I am beyond HD specs here but will I see this kind of difficulty working in HD as well?

You’r footage is quite a bit bigget than HD. But HD shouldn’t be too bad to work with. Of course you can always use proxies.
