HD widescreen showing as 4.3 in AE screen, suggestions?
So I just got my new Canon HD video cam and decided to do some test effects with it but when I imported the footage (1440 x 1080) it was not wide anymore, it appeared to be 4.3.
There’s probably an easy fix for this but I couldn’t find it. What do you all do with HD 16.9 footage to get it to look right?

Hi,
You need to turn on the Aspect Ratio preview button at the bottom of the viewer window. This will give you an idea of how your video will look when shown on a TV monitor.
Take a look at the help file topic on Pixel Aspect Ratios. It’s really important to understand how this works.
