    Hi folks,

I’d like to double check on the workflow to get the best quality from HD
onto a SD DVD. It’s a 15 min piece shot in DVCPROHD 1080i60.
    Here’s what I’m doing:

Option1) FCP timeline DVCPROHD 1080i60 – export to Apple ProRes 422 HQ SD
720×480 16×9 (nothing else checked) – send to Compressor DVD Best Q 90min
16×9 Preset –author in DVD Studio Pro.

Option2) Instead of going to ProRes 422 HQ – export as self contained QT
with current settings – everything else the same.

I do not have the ideal (high end) hardware to compare final DVD’s – however
option 1 seems to be the better i.e cleaner & smoother result.

    Better? suggestion

    Thanks
    Ralf
