So I’ve recently been working a lot with 1080p footage from canon’s line of HDSLR cameras. I have a pretty solid work flow which allows me to edit in HD and all that jazz, however when I get to compressing the video to DVD I constantly end of with thin black bars at the sides of the video. I am compressing the files in Adobe Media Encoder and i start with the Ntsc DV Widescreen preset in the h.265 format options but then I have those darn side bars. the only way I can get rid of them is by changing the frame size to something like 705×480 but my fear is that the bars will return when I load the video into Encore. Has anyone had this experience before and been able to fix it? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone.
