HD to HDV for Broadcast
I’m producing a spot for broadcast and the
spot submission instructions are:High Definition (HD) spots must adhere to the following specs:
• Must be a Quicktime File using the HDV1080i60 codec
(Apple Pro Res or MPEG2 will also work fine)
• HD 1440 x 1080 aspect ratio at 29.97 FPS
• Upper field first (interlaced)
• Embedded Stereo Audio at least 48KHz
• All graphics must be within HD safety title zone and 4:3 center-cut.
(otherwise the HD spot will be letter boxed when down-converted to SD)Does this mean that the spot should have a ‘frame size’ of
1440×1080? The spot I’m exporting (current settings, self-contained)
has a frame size of 1920×1080. The original format was XDCAM.Rue Dwyer
