I shoot HD mostly at 720 60p (XDCAM-EX). I export a self-contained Quicktime Movie and take that into Compressor. I get a beautiful, crisp image on the final DVD, but occasionally, certain transitions with a lot of movement will be a bit jittery, not as smooth as when viewed in HD. I see this when played on both progressive and interlaced monitors, however, I do not notice it when played in Quicktime. I notice that Compressor wants to default to Interlaced, even though the source is Progressive, so I manually change the setting to Progressive. Should I leave it set to Interlaced instead? Is there a reason why Compressor wants to change it to Interlaced?
