I’m going crazy trying to do a simple thing. I want to make my HD timeline DV so I can post it on youtube. I can’t seem to figure it out. I plan on volunteering at a food bank Christmas eve to make up for my stupidity on this. I promise I’ll do it, I can’t afford the bad karma.

    Thanks

Is it your goal to have an SD version of your movie? Because YouTube does HD now. Here’s a link to a very recent article on how to prepare your project for the new HD space on YouTube using Apple’s Compressor.

If you have iMovie 08 that is the easiest way to do it. Export your HD file out of FCP bring it into imovie and then use the send to youtube option.

There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!
