    Hi There,

I’m working in an HD project and will be exporting it as HD; however, I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to keep titles within the title safe area in the event that the piece is re-formatted for and SD television?

The problem we have now is that any text that we add had been kept within the HD title safe, however, when it is reformatted for SD television sets, the text gets cut off. Is there a way to pull up SD title safe areas in an HD project?

    Much appreciated.

I’d think the easiest thing would be to make a graphic in PPro titler or Photoshop.

According to Wikipedia, for 4×3 in 16×9; action safe is 3.5% vertical, and 15% horiz; title safe is 5% vertical and 17.5% horiz.
