    hello,

ok so my friend has this conon vixia Hf11. my software does not read the .MTS files that this camera makes so i need to convert them to either SD files or HD files my software can read.

i got a copy of xilisoft video converter and have been trying to convert these files. no matter what i do it seems like the footage stutters. i increase/decrease the size, biterate, frame rate, deinterlace, but all do not work. the footage still stutters.

it is shot in 60i normal mode. at what it says is 29.97. 1920×1080. should i be using a particular codec?

    any suggestions?
    thanks
    e

If you keep the pixel size, aspect and frame rate the same, theoretically it should look fine. If all those are correct, the only thing that typically causes a stutter is having the field order reversed. So if you’re using upper field first, try swapping to lower field first.
