    Hello all I was wondering if I could use a 20inch plastic cinema display a 17 plastic and a 23 for hd playback I want to use the 23in as a playback mpnitor on the wall and have the 20 as the main monitor and the 17 as a bin monitor will that work or do I need all 23 inch monitors for HD footage??

    Sure – the graphics card in your mac will drive two monitors, and you can use an HDLink to turn the 23″ into a HD monitor, linked over SDI cables to, say, a Decklink card.
