Make sure you are rendering 23.976 out of ae and not 23.98.

[Joey Burnham] “1st off, no HDCam here. My source is D5 which was telecined from film. “

Ok, since that was not originally posted I was taking a guess as to HDCam content, that does not change the fact that you should be working with AJA Kona 1080 23.98 PsF settings on the card NOT 1080p-

1080 true P images will not play on most HD CRTs or Plasmas – the 1080 format for nearly everyone is called progressive segmented frames.

“Besides that, I do have an RT menu in my timeline, so what exactly do you mean when you say that there is no RT extreme in 10 bit uncompressed 1080? “

Sorry that is an error on my part, I am normally working in Dual link footage, and there is no RT in Dual Link uncompressed materials. I was typing faster than I was thinking yesterday.

[Joey Burnham] ” FCP cannot figure out to dump the extra segmented frame and display as progressive without a render”

Eh??? the segmented frame is to allow for playback on most viewing systems, it is a progressive frame that plays back as interlace to smooth the viewing to the eye

That is the way the 1080 format was originally designed, like the double shutter on film images during projection. We are way too accustomed to viewing content on screen at 60i so showing the content at the slightly slower 48i is easier for the eye to become acclimated to.
