HD rendering problems in ProAnimator…
I have created a sphere, wrapped it with a large, high-resolution earth map, and then animated it with a camera move that flies in toward the US.
However, when the animation renders out and I play it back in QuickTime, the movement hangs up and freezes just as the “earth” starts to fill the screen.
It does the same thing once I’ve moved it into FCP also.
I’m working with a pretty stout G5; dual processors, 4gbs of ram, etc…but it’s not working.
I’m working in the last version of FCP before the upgrade to FCP2.
I rendered it at 1280×720 HDV, with the 5×5+1.5 AA setting. Even put on motion blur at 6 passes, with a shutter angle of 100.
Any ideas as to what I’m doing wrong that this animation is freezing up in QT and FCP?
Thanks for any and all help!!!
sincerely,
Micah Ginn
