HD Platinum 11 final render quality consistently disappointing, tried everything I can find.
The final render quality out of Vegas HD Plat 11 is really starting to frustrate me. This should be all relevant settings.

The example is with H.264, resampling disabled, and the best results I’ve managed to get so far. Needless to say when it gets uploaded to Youtube it looks even worse, and I’m tearing my hair out trying to get it to look good. Should I just upgrade to Vegas 13 or 14 instead?

Upgrading would be good yes, but your poor results is due to your render selections!
Have you tried the Sony AVC render template for mp4 output?
Or try searching and read up on the Vegas to Handbrake script for perfect H.264 output via Handbrake…Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)
