A client has handed me a boondogle editing job.

I converted all the clips to Pro Res 422. I am editing in Pro Rez. In the past, I have dumped the entire sequence onto a SD Pro Res anamorphic timeline and exported that and compressed it in Compressor into DVD files. The Pal to NTSC conversion on top of this has me thrown. Normally I would use Nattress standards conversion on a straight Pal to NTSC conversion. Any suggestions?

I have not had success using Nattress for HD to SD conversion as Nattress is looking for a SD clip to drop in the source window.

I would convert the the PAL HD to PAL SD with your described workflow and then use Nattress to make the SD version.

I would only use Compressor to convert your NTSC SD file for DVD as I find Nattress does a better standards conversion than Compressor.
