    hi everyone.

we recently finished shooting a promo using the panasonic HVX200..we shot it using the 720/30p setting. after we imported them into final cut, we set the easy setup setting to the following:

    Blackmagic HDTV 720p 60 – DVCPRO HD

suddenly the monitor says SDI No Sync. and no video plays back. oddly enough if i reset it to a 4:3 setting (like Blackmagic 8-bit NTSC) the monitor comes back to life…only the video is frozen when played back at 480i resolution and updates when at a stand still.

ive tried fiddling around with the monitor as well as the blackmagic settings and i still cannot playback HD onto this HD monitor.
the monitor is the Sony MEU-WX2 23″ Professional Monitor, a flat screen/LCD based monitor. with the HD/SDI option card installed.
and that is connected to the Decklink HD Pro thru Monitoring Ouput port.

i hope someone out there might know how to fix this.. we’ve spent quite a lot of money on these things and so far it has been a disappointing experience. 🙁
