I have a 30 second commercial shot in HD (1080p with Canon XA10).

I would like to output the commercial in the best possible quality format for a cable provider to air for commercial.

What are the proper render settings to do this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Every station is different so you need to ask your provider what format they prefer. Once you have that information, come back, let us know and we can make recommendations.

Mike is correct. But for me, the format i always render out to
for both my Cable and Broadcast clients is the Quicktime format,
using the PHOTO-JPEG Codec and set the quality at 75%
I specifically do this for a broad compatibilty base and smooth
playback on any platform and in any software, yet still providing
    prestine quality.

In my case, I give my local cable company MXF files as that’s what “plays nice” with their playback server.
They tried MOV files but, even though the server manufacturer claims that it’s a supported format, it doesn’t work for long shows, only commercials.
