HD monitoring with BT-LH1700W which card ?
Posted by Wim Tops on April 20, 2006 at 3:01 pmI have the BT-LH1700W ,the HVX200 and a Mac .
Now I need a solution to connect the BT-LH1700W to my Mac and be able to see
my 720pHD footage while I`m editing .
I heard about decklink HD plus card , are there any other solutions ?
Are there any firewire solutions ?David Garcia replied 20 years ago 5 Members · 5 Replies -

April 20, 2006 at 3:46 pmAJA Kona 2 or Kona 3 (depending on which version of the G5 you have).
You can also go with the Kona LH or LHe (same dependencies). the Kona LH is good if you need analog input but no upconversion.
AJA is top notch and their products just work.

More realtime means less rendering, less waiting.

April 22, 2006 at 1:20 pmWe are running this very system. BTLH 1700W, Kona LH, and HVX. The Card works great. Whenever I sit down to work it’s like I’m coming to my sanctuary of peaceful video editing.
We are also using a P2 store on the ingest end which I would recomend if you have the budget.
