  HD Link for color corrections?

  I’m curious if the HD Link would be a good fit for us since we can’t afford a broadcast monitor. The HD Link looks to be a nice, cheaper alternative to the latter. Is this similar to a competitors product, Matrox. I’m curious how well the LUTs work with consumer TVs or even computer monitors like Eizo or Apple Cinemas. I know it won’t be completely as accurate as a broadcast monitor but if its good enough for DVD and web deliverables, we might purchase one? Any thoughts?

  Since I only have an Intensity Pro card, will I need to upgrade to something with a HD/SD-SDI output like a Deck Link Studio or DeckLink HD Extreme?

  OS 10.5.5, Mac Pro 2 x 3 ghz quad-core intel xenon, 9 gb ram, with BM Intensity Pro card
