hd graphics for final cut pro

with hd settingsthe image is coming in squished and square
and i can’t figure out what i’m doing in this situation !!!i create a file of 960 x 720
or 1080 etc
i bring it in and bam it gets square or squished

Anamorphic video when unsqueezed is 1280×720 for 720p or 1920×1080 for 1080i or 1080p. These should be your final frame sizes for graphics created in Photoshop.

“True in SD, not true in HD. 1080-line and 720-line HD both use square pixels.

we worked it out !!!
i forgot to tell you we are also working in cs3…
and there’s an extra setting there that we had to clickbut everything else you suggested was spot on !!!
