  HD from FCP? Projecting from your computer

  I am making an HD student film and the projector at my school will accept DVI signals but they have no HD deck.

  So I was thinking I can either rent an HD deck or use my computer to playback directly through the projector. (I am using FCP 5 to playback on a Dual 2.5 G5)

  Because I would imagine renting a deck will cost a ton I am leaning towards playback straight from my computer. The film is only 5 minutes long.

  Has anyone projected directly from their computer? If so would the projector be using my graphics card or should I output through Firewire (800 or 400?) to DVI?

  Any tips greatly appreciated. Or any other ideas?
