HD footage is “jumpy”
New to Premiere Pro so please forgive my ignorance, first time editing with HD footage.
I had to shoot a football game with friends HD consumer camera because my SD camera was in the shop. I used another small SD camera for close action shots, yes I’m mixing formats. I used BorisFX UpRez on that and it looks great! The footage from this HD cam is 1440×1080. I imported the clips and put the game together and tried to render. The UpRez clips rendered and the HD clips don’t have the green bar above it and during playback the HD clips are “jumpy”. How do I correct this?Thanks for any help!

Its better to downsize your footage instead of uprezzing.
What is your final output going to be?
Perhaps Boris did not do a that good job, make sure is is an editable format, something Premiere likes. -
Actually the uprezed footage is fine, it’s the HD that won’t render and is jumpy. Does the HD footage even need to be rendered?

HD footage will need to be rendered on some machines, it all depends on how much processing you have on board.
A wrong frame rate could also be the culprit, many consumer cameras shoot 24p by default, so make sure you working in a matching timeline.

Thanks Vince. I took a section of the project and put it in Encore to test out the look of it. When I transcoded the timeline, it played back normal and looked real nice.
