    HI, i am new making hd dvd.
    I recorded in a canon xlh1 hdv 1440×1080 30i
    video edited in fcp last version. all runs smoothly.
    used compressor to export video using HD dvd settings.
    authoring in dvdspro.
    burned and then played in the same computer.
    video looks well, but in the movement scenes the video does not look smootly
    any idea?

    sounds like a field order issue, somewhere the field order has been swapped.

    But you do realize that this disc will only play on Intel Macs, right?

    Yes, mm i read that a blue ray DVD player will read it too!
    Is this true??
    Anyway how can i fix the problem?
    The video Seems to play very bad in some parts the image freezes!

    You are not making a BluRay disc, you are making an HD DVD disc, they are not compatible. We posted this so many times.

    I sure it is a bit rate things, since you give no useful specs no way of telling.

    You can make BluRay disc with the newest version of Compressor 3.5 and FCP7 not DVDSP.

    Michael thank you very much for reading and answering
    id recently buyed a lacie external blue ray burner
    it comes with toast 10 and it has a plugin so i can buen a blueray disc
    so, the big question is, and sorry but as I sayed i am New in HD and blue ray,
    wich parameters could be the best should i do to make this hdv video run and look Well in a blue ray disc??
