Are you looking for a tool to just do basic menus with no interactivity or are you talking about interactivity like titles you buy in stores?

Your looking at a heavy investment. At this point all HD DVD and BD titles need to be hand coded. There is no “point and click” HD DVD or BD tool at this point. There are several consumer tools like DVDitPro, DVDSP, Encore and Ulead.

These links should help a little:

There is one “point and click” authoring system.

Yes…that looks like a great tool!…I plan on getting my license in September. It writes HDi for you but you still need to code your own ECMAScripts. All advanced HD authoring tools need to be like this…eventually I think they will. Hand coding is really inefficient.

Sonic Cinevsion (m2v,VC-1,AVC), Cinemacraft (AVC) are upwards of $50-75,000.
Compressor, Main Concepts, Sorenson are examples and cheaper alternative but won’t give you the same quality
