HD DVD and SD DVD
Hello,
could I burn HDV footage that was shot/edited/encoded as HDV onto a SD 4.7 DVD and be able to play it in a NON HD DVD player?

Yes, if you make SD MPEG2s from your HDV material.

I have been doing it two years or more and have had great results.
Make sure you build pan/scan dvds so that those with wide/lcd/plasma can take full advantage of your footage.
