HD, DV stream?
Hello all,
We have completed two 30 second spots, 720p 23.976, and the client wants them in DV stream format for backup. The DV Streams I’ve been able to output look horrible. Are DV streams meant more for SD?
I tried AVIs, which end up looking terrible OR being too huge OR not working in the player at all? Is divx the best AVI compressor?
Any input on this would be great.
I’m currently working with Avid Media Composer 2.8 on an hp xw8200, on windows xp sp2.

DV is SD, so a DV stream will be an SD format. 720×480.
That is an odd backup request. iMovie captures as a DV stream…low end stuff.
