  HD codec for PC and MAC

  What codec could I use that would work on PC or A Mac?

  It needs to be compressed because a full feature in uncompressed HD would be to much for the hard drive space we have now.

  I was thinking DVCPRO HD but it is not an option on my friends PC?

  Any sugestions?
