HD capturing
Posted by Timebombtim on August 1, 2007 at 8:57 pmi can’t seem to be able to capture in FCP on my sony HDV 1080i deck, i’ve tried the various easy setup options, of which don’t seem to be working, it keeps aborting, and erroring during capture. any help appreciated….

What kind of drive are you capturing to? Maybe it can’t keep up?

August 2, 2007 at 1:35 pmno i am getting no drive, and the problem seems to be with the deck, i’ve tried to an internal drive, our SAN network, and an external drive, all with the same problems, imovie, isn’t helping me out either….alas…

August 2, 2007 at 1:39 pmIs the deck in HDV mode? Is the iLink (Firewire) set to NOT downconvert. Downconvert is Default on that deck.

August 2, 2007 at 2:18 pmi have been able to capture in imovie, but not FCP, it seems to be something to do with the a/v setting, they are “missing” in the playback options
