    HI.

I’m sure the answer’s in the archives somewhere so I apologise for repitition beforehand…

Off line – on-line project looming.

Programme delivery will be for UK.
    HDcam 1080 50i + SD digibeta. (PAl)

Rushes will be mix of HDcam 1080 50i, and 1080 59.94i. + some HDV 1080 50i thrown in.

Offline will be Avid MC of some sort,
    conform/grade/master symphony nitris.

The HDcam 50i I was intending to load sd sdi from a Jh3 for offline and then conform and playout to SRW5500.

The HDV I would load sd sdi for off-line and then conform HD from a HVR500.

What’s the best workflow considering the 59.94i footage?

    thanks in advance

Plan A: If you don’t have large amounts of 1080/59i footage, then standards convert to an HDCAM or SR 1080/50i. If there is much 1080/59i footage, especially if it will live together in one large segment (or many smaller segments) of the program, you might like:

Plan B: Off-line and on-line the 1080/59i footage into a 1080/59i edit master and standards convert that to 1080/50i. Then drop into the final 50i off-line and on-line as needed.

A lot depends on how you need to organize things in the final production.

    cheers

great straight answer, was intending on the standards convert since whole prooject depends on intercut footage, wanted to check I wasn’t missing something before spending a fortune.

    thanks again
