Having troubles rendering 1080p footage
So, I recently started a new project after a long time. I upgraded Vegas 9 with my new computer and I started to record Modern Warfare 2 with highest resolution using Fraps. Well the clips are huge of course, and I managed to handle like 01:20 mins without issues.
After that Vegas started to show sometimes red screen on preview window and saying that my computer is low on memory. I increased virtual memory, but it still kept showing red screen.
I read a while for forums and I noticed that there’s been same problems, and I could solute them in a cheap way by splitting my footage into smaller pieces and rendering them out in pieces. So I tried that and Vegas told me that I’m again low on memory. I closed all programs and still same thing.
Then I figured out that my computer could make it better with Vegas 64-bit by using more RAM. I installed 64-bit and managed to render 20sec of my intro. However, when it should render the start of the gaming footage (1080p) and error pops up telling that rendering had to stop and the “error could not be determined”.
So basically the earlier error about low memory now turned to unrecognized. Is there any other solutions than buying a better set? I’ve tried to render 1080p footage out in 10sec pieces, using only color corrections and trasitions, but it can’t make it.
I got:
Inter Core i7 920 @ 2,67 Ghz
6,00 GB RAM
64-bit Win7
running system and all programs on 256gb SSD to speed up reading (could this be the problem?)Also, my keyboards monitor shows CPU and RAM: while moving onto the high resolution footage CPU pops to 100% but RAM stays between 40-70%. I’m totally confused :S
