    Hi there,

I’m working on a project for a client where I’m doing the bulk editing in Final Cut Pro X and then bringing everything into Vegas so that they can make some final touch ups on their end with Vegas and view the whole timeline. Unfortunately, I’m not able to get Vegas to import everything into a nice timeline format. I did some searching and found a weird workaround with Vegas and Davinci for importing into Premiere Pro, so I figured I should try that.

The XML I made in FCPX worked in Davinci – the timeline is rebuilt and everything. I decided to try and export another XML file as well as an AAF file to see if that might be a good fix, but no luck. I realize it’s a bit of a weird issue, but any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

What’s happening in Vegas when you do the import? Where’s it failing? And have you tried sending it a simpler test project? And I guess, the more obvious question, is that version of Vegas compatible with the version of fcpxml that you’re sending it?
