Had a search online, and i honestly don’t know what it even is called.

Its throughout the video above, but primarily, lets say, about 1 minute in.

Its like a colour flash, but seems to be organic.

Is it an overlay of a seperate video file or something different?

any help would be much appreciated..

Can also be seen in the likes of the true blood opening sequence, etc.

    thanks in advance,

It’s simply a film clutter clip on v2 using the screen composite mode.

    It’s called a light leak.
You can either Google it to find pre-made, or build your own.
These are so overused, they’ve become a cliche’ for “I’m outta idea’s”.

    Hi Ian,

    maybe this will help lucavisualfx.com

I have been looking for this as well for ages and didn’t know what it was called either, got so frustrating. Someone at work recommended this to me and it did the job perfectly. You should check them out, I am pretty sure that is what you are looking for.

    hope this helped,

    Louis

exactly what i was looking, thanks for the quick reply!

it got extremely frustrating typing things like “film light burn effect” etc into Google and being greeted with cheesey film scratch effects etc

    thanks!
