can someone help me? im having trouble even getting the camera to work. so i have my 35mm camera out on my timeline but how do I get it to start actually taping? I press the pg up to go to next frame but that doesnt do anything. I try dragging the time bar forward but it wont move. Its just stuck at the first frame…. I have a hallway and I want to animate the camera to fly down the hallway and come to a stop right down the middle. Problem is, I cant even get the camera to work. Would someone please help me?

Are you setting keyframes, go to where you want the camera move to start and click the Camera Position stopwatch. Then go down the timeline and move the camera, either with the Camera Tools (C when the camera is selected rotates through the three tools) or change the camera position numbers manually. But you have to set those keyframes first, otherwise ther never is a change.

Otherwise, is the camera layer long enough, does it cover the area you want to move the camera?

If none of this works for you, ask the questions again and include Andrew’s name in the title.

Also to get a quick crash course on camera, look at these tuts by Rick Gerard:
