What happens if you set the sequence’s Aspect Ratio to CCIR 601 / DV PAL (5:4)?

So you changed the Sequence settings are they are left alone as they were when you first selected it?

Your Sequence obviously does not match your clips, that is why you’re having to render.

Ah, good, glad that worked. It can be very confusing, the issue here is that your DV footage uses non-square pixels.
