  • Having several default audio transitions in PPro?

    Hi,

(Question about Premiere Pro CC 2017)

When cleaning up a rough cut I like to add default audio transitions with keyboard shortcuts. I do this for both dialogue and background/music. For dialogue I usually do a 4-frame transition, but for music/background it’s usually a 20-frame transition.

I know I can set the Audio Transition Default Duration for one of those two, but then for the other one I have to individually click on each track and input the transition duration change.

    Is there a way to set 2 different default transitions to 2 different shortcuts? (e.g.: shift+D = 2-frame transition, shift+F = 20-frame transition)

    Thanks!

Sadly you will have to use a macro programme to achieve this. I use Keyboard Marstro on OSX, AHK on windows.

Add your voice to the feature request at adobe.com/go/wish – ask for head & tail fades, like avid, whilst you are there (even if you don’t know what they do, you’ll love them when you see them)
