Having Problems Rendering Out My Projects
I have a strange problem that I can’t figure out using Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder in CS 5.5 Production Premium. Whenever I select my output to H.264 format and using anything with a resolution of 1920×1080, I get weird interlaced like effects that are exaggerated when there is motion on my monitor. It doesn’t matter if I select my output file as interlaced or progressive. I get the same problem. I have tried several different settings in the options but have not had success.
My source material is 1920×1080 60i and 1920×1080 60P. Here again, the source material doesn’t matter as the problem occurs no matter.
The only way I can figure out to properly render out my projects are to export directly from Premiere and use match sequence settings. Here it will use a MPEG preview as the format and the codec is MPEG I-Frame not Main Concept. The outputted file in this format seems to be approximately the same size as if I used H.264 and the quality seems really good. But I don’t have this file output option if my original source files are 1920×1080 60P. It only works when my originals are 1920×1080 60i. And of course, if I want to watch on my TV or burn to Bluray, I will want the H.264 format — not this work-around.
The only other alternative that seems to work is to render my projects out to 1280×720 using H.264 and the Main Concept engine. The quality here is high but I can tell that I have lost resolution from the original clips.
I’m not a professional. I just need this to work so I can make home videos.
Please help. Thanks in advance.
