I’m trying to animate my model but for some reason my rotate tool spins but the rotor doesn’t. how do I link em. I tried doing it with a simple sphere and it worked just fine but when I open my model back again and apply the same method, The object doesn’t spin but the tool does. any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have axis modification enabled? It should be disabled for this.

The default shortcut key is ‘L’.

If you haven’t changed your keyboard shortcuts and you have an L key, yes it should work 🙂

Otherwise look for the below symbol in your toolbars and disable it.

Freezing Transformations before keyframing your animation should solve this issue. Check the ‘Coord.’ tab of the object that is giving you trouble. Twirl down the ‘Freeze Transformation’ section and click ‘Freeze All’ (or ‘Freeze R’ as I believe that’s the only place you’re having an issue).

I recently purchased a hind helicopter model and I freezed all the coord

When I try to animate the rotor, it rotates but keeps coming out of the whole. it come out the whole rotating then goes back into it. what do I do?

Is this the same as the previous problem? You’ll have to remove all keyframes on the rear rotor before you freeze the transformation, then re-do the animation.
