    Okay.

I am on Avid 5.5.3 Macbook Pro 10.8.3 OSX.

Been given a drive with files shot on C300 Cameras. AMA won’t recognize the drive, so… I imported all the footage into Avid creating clips to edit with. BUT… the MXF files all have 5 channels of audio but only 2 are being imported and I cannot understand why.

Can anyone PLEASE (oh please) give me the answer on how to get all five channels into Avid OR a workaround regardless of whether I can keep the timecode or not (preferably I would want it kept). I have downloaded an MXF converter, but no matter what flavor of Quicktime I do, I cannot get all five channels into Avid.

Thank you so much Creative Cow world.

    Hi Paul

All the C300 footage I have seen only has 2 channels embedded in the MXF file. Have you checked it with MediaInfo? If so, the MediaReactor AMA plug in should read up to 16 channels of audio in an MXF. Its free to try: https://www.mediareactor.ws

    Cheers, James
