  • Having an issue with using 2 video tracks

I’m working on a new project that has 2 video tracks. One of the tracks has text falling from the top of the screen. When I preview the video so that I can make small changes to the keyframing, I can only see 1 tracks. I have to push the solo button to see what’s on the other track. They will not preview at the same time. Can someone PLEASE help out a fool?

Video tracks are like layers in Photoshop. The lower tracks (layers) will only be visible though the upper track(s) if the upper tracks have transparency.

Your text probably has a black background. You need to change the background colour to transparent so that the lower track shows through, and the text appears on top of the lower track (I guess this is titles on a video).

Either use one of the text presets that has a transparent background (the grey checkerboard appearance) of edit your text media’s background colour (on the text media generator window’s Properties tab) to be transparent.
