That is a real old piece of software that you are using.
Are you “broadcasting” whilst doing fault-finding?
It is many years since I worked in play-out, so keep that in mind.
The two obvious areas to investigate are your hard-drives (do a scan for bad sector’s etc).
The other more likely scenario is your video-card for the overlay. Particularly if you have changed the VGA driver(s). Keep in mind that unless you have spare parts, you are using a system that is very old. Which in effect means that when it is end-of-life, it is end-of life.
It is likely that you’ll need to “roll-back” on the VGA driver.

They might just be kind to give you the answer you seek + use your set-up as a testimonial to how long their system(s) can last – that is a genuine positive comment on my part. As today we are often asked to change our computer every 2-3 years to use the latest super-sized codecs and software version.
