Have trial of 5.5 on Mac Pro-How do you get Codecs not included to come alive?
I have the trial of Premiere Pro 5.5 installed on my new 5.1 2010 Mac Pro. I have received the full DVD version of the 5.5 upgrade. Do I have to uninstall the trial 5.5 and reinstall the DVD version with the licensed codecs, or are they already in the trial ready to be activated? Or can they be loaded separately from the DVDs? It asked for and accepted the new serial # from the paid for version. Want to do some training on 5.5 while the D7000 bugs are worked out. Tried the .mpg workaround, and it will allow me to do some things, but Media 100 doesn’t seem to care for that .mpg extension, and I bounce stuff around a lot. Also have FCP 7 on the same system, so ProRes is already there. Need XDCam and H264, etc.
