have to re-link proxies every time Premiere is launched

I have this issue too since I moved some proxy files and then relink on opening – I have to do it every time. I did try to ‘offline all’ and then I found that it hadn’t offlined any – it knew where they were BUT the ‘Reveal in Project’ and the ‘Reveal in Finder’ options were greyed out. So that also meant it would not ‘attach proxies’ – because it thought they were already attached. I am not sure whether cancelling out of the first relink window is the same as ‘offline all’ but will try again and report.

So first thing I did was to update to the latest version (build 6 , 15.4.1 – as of 26th August 2021) – that still didn’t fix the problem about the ‘reveal in finder or project’ being greyed out – even though they had all linked perfectly to the new location (it remembered this time for some reason). Then I right clicked on the media in the project window and used ‘attach proxies’ – despite the fact that they were already attached – and that seem to attach them all even though I have about 200 in different bins. And now ‘reveal in project’ etc. is not greyed out and works again.

I have had this problem in the past. One thing I do now (although messy) is to always store the proxies in the same folder as the project file. Since I started doing that it has happened to me. (Now if I could solve the Auto LUT bug)
