Have Text go up in Particles (Smoke)
Posted by Thomas Frank on August 19, 2008 at 7:46 amIs it possible to have Text or General Objects go up in Particles?
For example have Text disappear or and appear from Smoke.
Thanks

Here is a solution to your problem but not an answer: Use a blend mode or Image mask.
Type your text and make it white. Add your smoke particle to the group. Go up to Object, Image Mask. In the Image mask tab drag the particle to the Mask Source well and you have a smoke particle conforming to the shape of the text.
To see this in action check out the Star Wars Hologram tutorial I made. What you want is at around 4 minutes and 35 seconds or so. Hope this helps.

August 19, 2008 at 8:43 pmThanks, but wouldn’t that just make the smoke appear in the Text?
I want it to come from the Text. Lets say have the TExt explode into Smoke or maybe even peaces. -
