Has eDVD been discontinued?
Posted by Slushprodukt on December 7, 2006 at 3:07 pmI notice that eDVD is no longer on the Sonic website. Does anyone know if Sonic have decided to axe the product? And if they have, anyone know why?!

December 7, 2006 at 11:16 pmI’m not sure if it has been discontinued or bundled or what. I did find a couple of links to it, but only by doing a search. It certainly doesn’t seem to be listed anywhere.
Anyway, the two places I found it was on Roxio’s UK website (but only by doing a search): https://www.roxio.com/eng/products/edvd/standard/overview.html
and
Adobe’s website:
https://store.adobe.com/store/products/master.jhtml;storesessionid=FG4A4XO2CB4WZQFI0ILBT5OAVDJBIIV1?id=catPlugins_Sonic_eDVD&ref=SecondaryVery weird.
I guess, though, since they both offer a download, it doesn’t really matter where it is downloading from. 🙂

December 8, 2006 at 4:36 pmIt does matter if Sonic have discontinued it, because the program is about one version away from being the perfect solution to a common problem.
The interface could do with being standardised (remember folders, no flash, etc.) and a way to make the InterActual player a single executable that didn’t need to be installed before usage. THEN eDVD would be perfect.
I mean, it’s a unique and incredibly useful program. It would be a real shame if Sonic just abandoned it.
