Has anyone suggestions for a good compact HD camera.
I work for a production company that does wildlife hunting films here in New Zealand. The camera we are using at the moment is a Canon XL-H1 which does a fantastic job. The trouble with it is a bit big an bulky to use when I am filming “action scenes” . When the dogs are on a pig it can get pretty full on.
Has anybody out there in Creative Cow land have any suggestions for a compact Canon HD camera that would do the job. Many thanks!!!!

Well, looking out for expert reviews of the products you’re interested with seem like a good alternative. In addition, most of these reviews have accompanying camcorder ratings that more or less will give you an idea as to the quality of the product you’re choosing and eventually help you decide which one is best for you.
