Most of the time I use a Matrox card and PPro CS2 to edit and output in SD 4×3.
We have new cameras that CS2 doesn’t work with. (P2 and AVCHD footage) so I have purchased PPro CS4. Matrox card doesn’t work with CS4 so I will be using it as a standalone system. (just software, no hardware axceleration) I have gotten used to viewing everything on a monitor and I like working this way, so can anyone recommend (or point me in the right direction) a card that will output whats on my PPro CS4 project window to a 19 inch HDTV. Preferrably HDMI but component will also work.

I’m not really looking to buy a AJA xena or anything big $, Just something that will out whats in the PPro window to a hd monitor. (or IS THERE even something cheap that will do this?) <$100 or so. I also intend to take the monitor on location and hook it directly to the cam sometimes also. So it will serve as both a camera AND editing monitor.

We bought a Blackmagic Intensity Pro card to output video from Premiere to an external monitor. Apparently Adobe released Premiere CS4 before third parties like Blackmagic and Cineform had had time to sort out their drivers and interface with Premiere CS4. Blackmagic released updated drivers a few days ago, but Premiere CS4 will still not output video to an external monitor on our Vista 64 system.

Is there anyone out there with any tips?
