I am configuring a video encoding server and editor that will be setup in my basement. I want to connect to it maybe thru RDP (or some streaming software) and let’s say run Premiere, do my thing, and then use nvenc to encode H.265 video. It’s my thought anyway that if I fire off an encode thru RDP that my access is to the Microsoft remote video driver and not my RTX 4090. Also if I start an encode and disconnect that will be an issue? Is this true?

Was trying to setup my system so my Ryzen 7950x built in AMD GPU was primary and my RTX 4090 was secondary so was just used to drive the hardware encoding and wasn’t effected by my connection. Issue if there is any validity to this, that I put a monitor emulator dongle in the HDMI port on the RTX 4090 as was told you need that for it to be recognized, but with all the Asus bugs in my MB even though I set the integrated GPU as primary and forced, minute Windows starts to load switches to the 4090 and can’t see anything.
