Hello, I need to adjust my audio master track by a specific amount but Premiere CS6 doesn’t seem to have a limiter of any kind like newer versions. Is there an equivalent that would get the job done? Thanks.

The Audio Track Mixer has a volume slider for the master track.

If you have Adobe Audition installed – just option click the audio track and you can open it in Audition. All kinds of options in there. You can also output your finished audio as a wav file, run it through Audacity to do everything all at once, then put it back into your project. Though I’m sure someone has a better method than that for the entire sound track…

I was going to suggest Audition, but Dennis beat me to it 😀

Just wondering whether the “tube-modeled compressor” inside CS-6 would do the job for you?

Thanks for the reply. Would this have the same effect as a limiter? I analyzed my mix with a loudness meter and just need to reduce the loudness by like 5 or so db so YouTube doesn’t normalize the mix.
