Is there a way to capture the card without having all these
small clips. (00000 000001 etc.) I’d like it all butt together.
I don’t know how to do this or if it can be done.
I did the import thing but there are still clips.

If your camera is supported by Vegas (most Sony cameras are) you can use View | Device Explorer and Vegas will find the footage on your card and stitch it back together so that there is one file for each start/stop of the camera record button. This gives you one file per scene like you would get using scene detection on a long tape.

If your camera is not supported by Vegas see if your camera manufacturer provides a utility to stitch the files back together as they come off the card.

There is no program I know of that will make one log file out of the whole card like a VHS tape if that’s what you’re looking for.
