We are using hard drive cam and I notice tonight that its easy to
sync together. I then added my audio 4 tracks and notice that
it goes out of sync. Don’t know why. What I did is when it went
out I did the S key and moved it back into sync with cam. Does any one
have any ideas as to why this happen. Maybe there is another way
    to take care of this.

[Patti Arrigo] ” Does any one have any ideas as to why this happen. Maybe there is another way to take care of this.”

This happens because every recording device has an internal crystal that it uses to keep time and every crystal is off by a little bit so that they drift. This is normal. The only way to fix it is to buy very expensive equipment that has “GenLock” which syncs all recording devices to a master time clock (which means all devices are tethered together by wire to the central time unit). This is usually used in studio situations. The rest of us, split the event and nudge the audio back in place every 10 – 20 minutes or so depending on how far off the crystals are.

I have had pretty good luck with all of my sony cams staying in sync with my other audio (up to 48 tracks in Cubase)….
