Hard drive advice please….
Hi all…we are adding another edit suit w/fcp. We still use Beta Sp and we have a AJA Io LA. In the near future we will be editing with High Def. Now we are looking for a super hard drive to edit online video with. Anyone have any preferences?

+1 on the Sonnet Raid. I couldn’t be happier with Sonnet.

Maxx Digital ProAvio series is what we’re running. Essentially identical to the Sonnet box, but it was a bit cheaper.
We’re running 2 8TB units and running between 450 – 500MB/s in RAID 5. They’ve been outstanding to date.

I’ve been running a little 1.5TB G-Speed on my new system. Loving it so far! 220MB/s sustained throughput @ Raid 3. Plenty for 4:2:2 1080. I’m a huge champion of G-Tech products in general.

my 2TB G-SPEED eS should be arriving at my door any day! As I haven’t received it yet, I can’t say much from a first hand perspective. But from what i’ve read and heard, its the best bet in its league.
